NMS Passes Nortel's Compatibility Testing

FRAMINGHAM, MA - NMS Communications (NASDAQ:NMSS) announced its narrowband voice quality enhancement systems have passed Nortel Networks' compatibility testing and have been certified to operate with Nortel's Wireless MTX10 platform. "Nortel's wireless switch customers will quickly appreciate the numerous advantages to NMS' voice enhancement products," said Clarke Ryan, general manager and senior vice president, NMS' Voice Enhancement Systems business. "They're field-proven solutions, and now customers have the extra assurance gained from Nortel's interoperability testing. They can choose the industry's best voice quality enhancement solutions with confidence." NMS' narrowband (T1) voice quality enhancement and echo cancellation systems went through Nortel Networks' Wireless Interoperability Test program in its Texas labs. They have been approved to be compatible with Nortel's Wireless MTX10 platform. NMS' voice enhancement systems were recently acquired from Lucent Technologies and are built on innovations that originated at Bell Labs.
