Nuance Introduces FASt

Nuance announced the availability of Nuance Flexible Application Suites, packaged applications designed to speed the delivery and reduce the total cost of ownership for voice automation solutions across a number of industries. Nuance FASt was architected to meet the needs of both Nuance customers and partners and to empower them to change and maintain the applications themselves.   Businesses can use FASt as "point solutions" to help them achieve specific deployment or customer care goals, or as part of their complete call center automation strategies.  Partners can use Nuance FASt in combination with their own speech platforms, applications and service offerings to address the needs of their target customers.   "Nuance's expanded roster of prepackaged applications leverages the company's experience, and enables its channel partners and customers to shorten development times and reduce costs," said Dan Miller, senior analyst at Zelos Group. "Zelos Group sees off-the-shelf components proliferating to fulfill both horizontal functions like call steering or speaker verification and industry-specific requirements."   Nuance Flexible Application Suites can accelerate time to market by as much as 40 percent.  Nuance FASt is based on the company's 600 man-years' worth of design and implementation expertise and includes pre-packaged voice user interfaces for common voice automation tasks specific to each of the following industries:

  • Credit Card Financial Services
  • Retail Banking
  • Insurance
  • Telecommunications (wireless and wireline)
  • Utilities
  Each industry-specific Flexible Application Suite includes a number of task-specific applications. For example, Nuance FASt for Retail Banking enables a caller to log-in, make a payment, check account balance and locate the nearest branch.
