PIKA Technologies and eurovoice Form Partnership

OTTAWA, CANADA and IPSWICH, UK - eurovoice limited, a provider of computer telephony (CT) solutions, has enhanced their development toolkit, called eurovoice objects, to integrate with PIKA voice cards. PIKA Technologies is a manufacturer of hardware and software subsystems for developers of next-generation telephony solutions. eurovoice's decision gives application developers choice in their hardware vendor as previously eurovoice objects supported Dialogic/Intel hardware only. eurovoice objects is a royalty free, COM-based toolkit for developing CT applications. The toolkit provides basic and advanced functionality to deploy CT applications. Users of development environments like Microsoft's VB6 and VB.NET particularly benefit from the toolkit. Launched in the fall of 2002, it has seen enthusiastic market uptake. eurovoice objects now supports PIKA Daytona MM PCI analog-interface voice cards using the PIKA MonteCarlo 6 application programming interface, and PIKA InLine analog-interface voice cards. Support for ISDN with the PIKA PrimeNet MM PCI digital voice card is anticipated later this year. PIKA Daytona cards are configurable from 4- to 24-analog line circuits, with switching and DSP capacity for every channel. It's a full-length, standard-sized card that easily integrates into any PC chassis. PIKA InLine is a user-configurable 4-loop start, half-length card with a PCI interface. PIKA PrimeNet provides an unparalleled combination of ISDN network connectivity, media streaming and cost-effectiveness. Developers are able to design applications such as voice mail, virtual call center, dictation, outbound notification, and integrated voice response (IVR) systems. "We are pleased to offer our developer customers seamless integration to highly reliable PIKA hardware," said Martin Steer, Managing Director, eurovoice limited.
