Philips Recognizes SpeechMagic Award 2006 Winners at Partner Event in Vienna

VIENNA, Austria - Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG) recognized the winners of its SpeechMagic Awards 2006 during its annual partner event in Vienna, Austria. Canada-based Crescendo Systems Corporation was honored for its marketing activities, which helped to establish the brand "powered by SpeechMagic" and educate end-customers on the benefits of industrial-grade speech recognition. MedQuist was recognized for promoting speech recognition in the transcription industry.

Philips also celebrated the tenth anniversary of integration partnerships with Kuhlmann Information Systems, DictaPlus and Mathol - three German companies who were first to integrate SpeechMagic into their dictation workflow solutions for the legal and medical industry.

SpeechMagic is integrated by a global network of more than 200 companies, including healthcare technology providers such as AGFA Healthcare, GE Healthcare, Kodak Health, Philips Medical Systems and Siemens Medical Solutions.
