Ribbit Settles Patent Litigation with Klausner Technologies

Ribbit has entered into a patent license agreement with Klausner Technologies,  under the Klausner U.S. visual voicemail patents, for Ribbit’s visual voicemail products in the United States. The parties have settled their outstanding litigation and the case has been dismissed.

Ribbit is the 27th company, to date, to license Klausner Technologies’ visual voicemail patents. Current licensees of the visual voicemail patents include major U.S. and European mobile operators, handset manufacturers, cable operators, and other providers of visual voicemail services.

"We are pleased to announce Ribbit as our 27th visual voicemail patent licensee. Our patented technology lets consumers view, prioritize, and select voice messages from their mobile phones or from the Web," said Judah Klausner, CEO of Klausner Technologies.

Ribbit had been a defendant in the pending patent infringement lawsuit brought by Klausner in the Eastern District of Texas. Klausner Technologies is currently asserting its visual voicemail patents against Yahoo!, Qwest, Panasonic, Avaya, and Cisco in a lawsuit captioned Klausner Technologies, Inc. v. Qwest Communication, Inc., et. al, Case No. 6-09 CV-232.
