Sioux Falls to Roll Out Winscribe

The city of Sioux Falls, S.D., will implement Winscribe's digital dictation and documentation workflow management system with speech recognition and multimedia transcription capabilities.

Sioux Falls currently uses a telephone-based Dictaphone system, which provides dictation capabilities to the city's police department, the Minnehaha County sheriff's office, the city's multimedia department, and the city health department.

The proposed Winscribe solution will replace the current system with like-for-like capabilities. In addition, the Winscribe system will support transition into the future with other modern and value-added capabilities, such as Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone dictation, mobile dictation via iPhone and Android devices, front-end and back-end speech recognition, and better statistical reporting options to monitor workloads and staff productivity.
