SpeechWorks Provides Standards-Based Speech Solutions For Avaya Voice Applications Platform

BOSTON, MA - SpeechWorks International Inc. (Nasdaq: SPWX), a provider in speech recognition and TTS technologies and services, announced the availability of its VoiceXML optimized, OpenSpeech products including OpenSpeech Recognizer in the client-server architecture of OpenSpeech Server and OpenSpeech DialogModules on the latest interactive voice response (IVR) system from Avaya Inc., (NYSE:AV), a provider of voice and data networks to businesses. Avaya Interactive Voice Response 9.0 also supports SpeechWorks Speechify TTS software and SpeechSecure speaker verification module. Avaya's voice applications platform is a self-service solution that leverages VoiceXML 2.0, allowing businesses to implement and administer speech-enabled solutions across Web and telephony applications.
