Swisscom Systems Licenses Voxpilot's Telecom Solution

DUBLIN, IRELAND and BERN, GERMANY - Swisscom Systems announced it will offer telephone-based applications such as auto-attendant, personal dialer, information management and call center automation to its existing base of 90,000 business customers beginning January 2004. Also, Swisscom Systems and Voxpilot are partnering to offer additional VoiceXML products and services such as Voxpilot's SpeechSuite enterprise platform and consultancy services for the Swiss market. "The hosting of voice applications ideally complements our service portfolio," said Christian Muller, head of outsourcing services at Swisscom Systems. "With Voxpilot as supplier and Swisscom as carrier and operator of the platform we are able to offer an all-round solution that is unique in Switzerland. Our customers benefit from Voxpilot's technical competence, the know-how of the development partners and our many years' experience as the largest operator of telephone systems in Switzerland." Voxpilot's Telecom Solution is designed to enable a carrier or hosting company to become a VoiceXML outsourcer by linking them to voxBuilder, Voxpilot's online development environment. The package includes Voxpilot's SpeechSuite platform featuring VoiceXML browser and Nuance's speech recognition technology, management tools and VSP management services. "Voxpilot is pleased that Swisscom Systems has chosen our VoiceXML solution to address its customers' needs," said Dr. Jon Alcantara, CEO of Voxpilot Ltd. "For Voxpilot, this is an initial step towards the roll-out of a pan-European network of hosting centres all linked together via our online development environment (ODE). We believe that Swisscom Systems will benefit from applications and traffic generated for the Swiss market by our network of partners."
