The French National Railways Company Chooses Prosodie and Telisma for Voice Portal

PARIS - The French National Railways Company (SNCF) launched its 3635 voice portal. This 4-digit number gives access to the entire suite of Grandes Lignes telephone services of the SNCF. Long-standing partner, Prosodie was selected for its voice recognition solution based on Telisma technology.

Pascale Ippolito, Direct Sales Official at SNCF Grandes Lignes said, "The Prosodie-Telisma solution was chosen at the end of comparative studies for its ability to treat important call peaks within the context of services for the general public that generate very high traffic. If today only the call qualification is available in vocal mode, from mid-year 2004, vocal recognition will be extended to the entirety of the schedules category. We are envisaging the progressive integration of vocal command to other services. Vocalization studies are now in progress."
