Verdatum Joins the ProLaw Alliance

Verdatum has integrated its legal-centric digital dictation system into ProLaw, a Thomson Reuters company and provider of the One Office financial and practice management system.

As an integration partner within the ProLaw Alliance Program, Verdatum demonstrated the first fully integrated law firm management and digital dictation solution at the 2010 ProLaw User Conference in Albuquerque Oct. 25-28. The digital dictation solution is in keeping with the philosophy of both companies to provide integrated end-to-end solutions that enable attorneys to increase billable hours and operational efficiencies, such as document creation and secretarial functions. It enables a law firm to be more competitive and profitable at the same time.

“We welcome Verdatum as a key integration partner in our Alliance Program,” said Matt DeVoll, vice president and general manager of ProLaw. “They offer an innovative technology solution that directly impacts the productivity and workflow of lawyers. This integration with Verdatum provides a seamless experience with ProLaw that reduces the number of steps to complete document creation and organization tasks.”

“Integration with ProLaw is the next logical step for us to support the business processes of lawyers and law firms,” said John Methfessel, president and CEO of Verdatum. “This allows attorneys to quickly and easily create dictation while working in ProLaw, rather than forcing them to start a separate application. On the word-processing side, the document will immediately be indexed in the events section that ProLaw users rely on so heavily to manage their matters.”

The ProLaw Alliance Program creates new growth opportunities for businesses with services and applications that complement ProLaw. The ideal partner provides technical and business support and/or software add-on modules that can be provided directly to ProLaw users. Once they become an approved member, partners have access to a variety of marketing, technical and training resources.
