VoicInt Signs Agreement with T-Com on RCI Development

Ralf Rottmann, director products and engineering of VoicInt Telecommunications, announced an agreement with T-Com to certify VoicInt's capabilities as a preferred partner for T-Com's recently released Routing Configuration Interface (RCI) service.

RCI is T-Com's pre- and post-routing solution, allowing businesses to interactively change routing targets inside the cloud based on XML standardized Web services. Prior to the availability of RCI, customers with on-premise Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems had to initiate a second outbound call (tromboning) in order to transfer callers to a second destination. Many multi-site contact center topologies for cross-site forwarding required a second connection. With the availability of RCI call center agents can now select a new target for an existing call and initiate a new connection inside the cloud - eliminating the need for an additional connection.
