VoiceTrust Partners with BioID to Deliver Multimodal Biometric Authentication Solutions
VoiceTrust, a provider of voice biometrics solutions, and BioID, a cloud biometrics provider, announced a strategic alliance that will create a full suite of biometric offerings to VoiceTrust customers worldwide. Under the terms of the agreement, VoiceTrust will have exclusive rights to resell BioID's biometric modalities through integration into VoiceTrust's agnostic authentication platform. In addition to voice, this agreement will expand VoiceTrust's solution set to include facial and periocular recognition with liveness detection and iris recognition, making VoiceTrust a true multimodal biometric authentication provider.
It has become increasingly difficult for consumers to observe standard secure practices for passwords that are hard to guess, not shared across domains and changed often. In addition, corporate security officers are seeking stronger authentication strategies for their enterprises. Biometrics forms the basis of an identity verification solution that offers strong authentication without the inconvenience of the password. VoiceTrust's broadened suite of products is poised to meet the growing global demand for stronger and more convenient authentication, enabled through a singular focus on biometric solutions, a unique technology platform, and deep industry expertise.
"With this strategic alliance, we are executing on our strategy to deliver a full suite of cloud-enabled, biometric authentication solutions to our customers," said Alan Brousseau, CEO, VoiceTrust, in a statement. "Together with BioID, we are creating a complete set of secure biometric-authentication solutions across mobile, telephony, and online communication channels for the enterprise, banking, insurance, and telecommunication sectors."
"Our alliance with VoiceTrust expands our ability to provide cutting-edge biometric solutions to the rapidly growing global authentication market," said Ho B. Chang, CEO of BioID, in a statement. "We're excited to be collaborating with VoiceTrust's innovative team and proud to have them offer our full product line to their customers."
