Voxify Names Chief Executive Officer

ALAMEDA, Calif. — John Gengarella joined Voxify as president and CEO. Gengarella brings over two decades of technology and business practices with enterprise software businesses to lead Voxify through its current stage of growth.

Gengarella joined Siebel Systems in 2002 as general manager of Siebel's Travel, Transportation and Hospitality business unit.  He also led operations for Siebel's vertical applications development group up through the acquisition of Seibel by Oracle.  At Oracle Gengarella served as vice president of operations for Oracle's CRM Applications Division, leading business operations for the $1 billion business unit. 

Prior to Siebel Gengarella was CEO of several technology organizations, including Pineapple Systems, a CRM software company targeting the hospitality industry, and MyBiz Technologies, a hosted CRM solution serving the online auction market.  Gengarella has also been an active investor and advisor to early stage technology ventures such as Xfire, 1stUp, ConnectGroup, Remend, Krugle, Success Metrics, TSIC China, and Entity Labs.  Earlier John was also a senior executive at Wolff Urban Development, a privately held hotel investment group that owns and asset manages over a $1 billion of top-tier luxury hotels. He also served as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting, a mergers & acquisitions associate at Price-Waterhouse, and originally started out his career as an engineer at Lockheed Missiles & Space Company.

Gengarella will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the business and the formulation of the ongoing business strategy from Adeeb Shanaa, co-founder and former President and CEO. 

Gengarella earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh and his master's of business administration from the Harvard Business School.
