Voxware Becomes First Voice Vendor to Join GS1 Solution Partner Program
Voxware, a provider of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, has become the first voice vendor to be awarded membership in the GS1 Solution Provider Program.
“Voxware already has strong expertise in traceability, which is becoming an increasingly important issue for our customers,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware's CEO. “Obtaining certification and joining the GS1 Solution Partner Program validates our expertise, and also enables the company to offer authoritative help to enterprises looking for the best way to integrate voice and scanning into a single, high-productivity and high-accuracy workflow. We are proud to be the first voice solution provider to become part of the GS1 Solution Partner Program.”
“Our company has a long track record in delivering fresh products, and food safety is very important to us,” said Jeff Williamson, senior vice president at Performance Food Group. “Voxware hosted a Produce Traceability Roundtable earlier in the year, where we talked about effective ways to integrate the scanning of GS1 barcodes into the voice picking process. We are pleased to see Voxware moving ahead by becoming a GS1 Solution Partner.”
GS1 US, a not-for-profit member-driven organization, administers the U.P.C. and develops worldwide standards and solutions for identification numbers, data carriers, electronic commerce, and global data synchronization. More than 200,000 GS1 US member companies now use open, global GS1 Standards to optimize their value chains and business processes.
Voxware supports integrated scanning of GS1 barcodes as a standard feature in its Voxware 3 software suite, and the company plans to add more features in an upcoming release.
