Winscribe Releases Text Version 8.4

Winscribe, a provider of dictation, transcription, speech recognition, and documentation management solutions for healthcare, has released version 8.4 of Winscribe Text, a central platform for managing clinical documentation.

"Across the globe, the healthcare market is under ever-increasing pressure to perform&mdashnbspfinancial strain, information governance, patient safety, and timeliness, to name but a few of these pressures. Winscribe's clinical software excels in our latest release, making it easier for clinical staff, IT staff, and operational staff to provide for a better patient outcome through a fully digital correspondence experience," said Greg Allen, CEO of Winscribe, in a statement. "The latest version of Winscribe Text is designed to provide them with a comprehensive, innovative, and reliable solution to meet those needs."

The new features and solutions in Winscribe Text v8.4 include the following:

  • Enhanced Document Manager: The Document Manager dashboard and document list provides system administrators and transcription (or document editor) managers with an overview of all documents in the Winscribe Text system. This new release allows them to evaluate workloads and turnaround times and brings transparency and guidance to the documentation workload throughout the organization.
  • Patient History Pathway: This patient history pathway has been extended, giving clinicians greater visibility into patient historical documents and faster access to critical patient information.
  • New Supervisee Role: The ability to delegate and structure the document creation, review and signature process has been improved, thanks to a new role that allows a more granular relationship between senior and junior roles – levels of authorization and delegation processes within Winscribe Text.
  • Client Engagement: A new Support and Feedback option has been added, enabling clients to submit feedback and report problems while logged into Winscribe Text.

"This is the third major release on our Winscribe Text platform in the last 10 months, as the adoption of our solution continues to grow internationally," said Pierre Corboz, director of product strategy at Winscribe, in a statement. "More than ever, we are focused on real in-depth feedback from our users. This release sees us placing our customers' needs, views, and opinions at the heart of our solution with the immediate feedback module that allows us to further improve the solution by listening and providing exactly what our customers need, where they need it, and when they need it."

Winscribe Text version 8.3 was just released in late August.
