ZyDoc Solutions Extending to PACS/RIS

CHICAGO, IL - ZyDoc announced it will be working with Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) vendors to offer integrated reporting and distribution solutions for radiologists. "While equipment and imaging is obviously necessary, the end result of the process is the generation and delivery of a report and the industry has largely ignored this need," said Dr. James M. Maisel, chairman of ZyDoc.com. "As tertiary care specialists, radiologists require fast and accurate reporting of test results to referring doctors not only for providing timely medical care but also to maintain their referral business." According to ZyDoc, regardless of dictation methods, completed records and dictations are accessible using an Internet browser with the TrackDoc™ Web-based Chart Management System and can be made accessible in RIS and PAC systems. Reports, dictations or images can be distributed, filed, heard, viewed or printed at the referring physician's workstation with transparent operations utilizing 256 bit RC6 encryption with the ZyDoc ShareDoc™ and ZipIT™ applications. "Toshiba's collaboration with ZyDoc is going to offer our customers in the medical community a revolutionary new technology solution," said Bill Greenlund, vice president server and solutions product marketing at Toshiba. "ZyDoc's expertise in the medical field enables them to understand these customer's unique needs and challenges. We believe offering secure access to critical patient data while utilizing voice recognition can truly increase workplace productivity." ZyDoc's ZipDoc e-Transcription solutions are available now and start at $399/month for 2,500 lines of dictation including TrackDoc Internet based records hosted in secure world class facilities.
