BBQs Start Getting Voice Technology

The Business Research Company is expecting strong growth for the barbeques and grills market, noting that manufacturers are focusing on adding new technological features to cater to the changing needs of the customers. Some of these features include touch screen controls, automatic fuel measurement, automatic heat controls, and voice recognition.

Already several manufacturers market grills with voice technology. Chief among them is the SmartGrill by Lynx, which allows outdoor chefs to use their smart devices or voice commands to grill the perfect meal. It incorporates mobile connectivity, voice recognition, online notification and a seamless user interface. The grill connects to an online database to determine the optimal grilling time and technique for the food and tells the chef where on the grill to place each item, when to flip the food, and when to perform specific steps in the recipe.
