SyncWords Expands Zoom Captioning and Translation Capabilities
SyncWords, a captioning services provider, has added features to help Zoom become more accessible to users worldwide. The new features include expanded language support to more than 50 languages and captioning using SyncWords' artificial intelligence.
With SyncWords' expanded language support, including AI dictionaries for more than 50 languages, captions are not restricted to just English captions offered by Zoom. Zoom sessions can now be streamed with real-time captions in additional languages, as well as translations to multiple languages. Zoom currently supports captioning using automatic speech recognition in only English.
SyncWords' ASR features enable customers to identify names, product information, and terminologies. With the latest upgrade, organizations can now customize the ASR dictionaries at the organization level and for specific events.
In adition to Zoom, SyncWord is available on other conferencing platforms like Hopin Cisco WebEx, Adobe Connect, ON24, and virtual event platforms. Any event can be live-streamed with captions and multi-language translations. Both live captions and translations can be integrated via API into any platform.
SyncWords' advanced translation glossary enables customers to customize the translation of specific terms so captions in the output language capture nuances from the input source,
"The SyncWords Live platform features a simple way to add a custom dictionary to English and all other languages to get the most accurate live transcription using speech-to-text technology," said Giovanni Galvez, SyncWords' vice president of business development, in a statement. "We want Zoom users from all over the world to try our system to see the results for themselves."
Schools can now use SyncWords to provide captioning and translations for graduation ceremonies.
SyncWords, a cloud-based video accessibility platform provider for automated captioning and subtitling tools, announced that its solution is now available on Microsoft Azure and uses Azure Cognitive services.
