Speech Processing Solutions, a provider of professional dictation and documentation solutions sold under the Philips brand, has launched Philips SpeechLive Legal AI Assistant, which transforms voice recordings, dictation, and uploaded sources into structured, ready-to-review legal documents

SpeechLive Legal features SpeechLive's built-in integrations with leading case management platforms such as Actionstep, Clio, iManage and NetDocuments, supporting billing, email, and case management workflows.

The AI Assistant is powered by Speech Recognition Legal, a dedicated engine that recognizes legal terminology, case citations, and phrasing. It transcribes consultations, case notes, depositions, and other legal recordings. SpeechLive Legal then places key facts and relevant information into a system or custom template.

Users can select a preloaded template or generate a customized template on demand through the AI Assistant chat using natural language prompts, such as "Create a template for an attendance note." The AI Assistant builds a structured template with the appropriate sections and placeholders, which users can refine and save to their personal libraries. Users can also upload supporting documents, PDFs, and images. The AI Assistant extracts relevant information from these sources and the audio to populate the template and provide additional context for the draft.

"SpeechLive Legal brings speech processing to the next level," said Thomas Brauner, CEO of Speech Processing Solutions, in a statement. "The AI Assistant is built specifically for legal professionals who want to spend less time on documentation and more time on billable work, client service, and strategic legal matters."
