Lisova Launches Voice Companion for Aging Adults

Lisova, a voice companion app for seniors and their families, is now available nationwide on the Apple App Store. Lisova checks in with loved ones every day, listens, remembers what matters to them, and helps capture their stories for the whole family to keep.

Lisova was founded by David Hensley, who became a caregiver after his father died suddenly in January 2024 and his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The idea took shape last summer, when Hensley asked his mother to tell his own AI companion how she met his father. The conversation ran 45 minutes and surfaced memories he had never heard.

"Lisova is someone who checks in every day, listens, and remembers," Hensley said in a statement. "It's not a medical device, and it's not a monitoring system. Nothing replaces the people who love you, but we can't be there every hour of every day."
