NMS Communications and uReach Technologies Selected by Bell Canada

HOLMDEL, NJ and FRAMINGHAM, MA - uReach Technologies Inc., a provider of innovative enhanced communications solutions, and the NMS HearSay[TM] service delivery system from NMS Communications (Nasdaq: NMSS), supplier of communications products and services, have been selected by Bell Canada to deploy the Single Number Reach service based on a Unified Communications Platform. The Single Number Reach service enables small- and medium-size business customers, as well as large enterprise customers with a mobile workforce, to organize and direct calls between multiple devices through one virtual telephone number. "Bell Canada needed flexibility and swift time to market," said Mary Valentino, senior vice president of Global Sales, uReach Technologies. "uReach and NMS were selected because we could deliver with our modular software including unified messaging, unified communications, enhanced voice mail, and numerous other enhanced services - all residing on one platform." Single Number Reach is an Internet Protocol (IP) network-based service that automatically routes incoming calls to various communications devices from a single telephone number. Customers manage their calls by directing them to another wireline number, a wireless handset, or to voicemail, based on their schedule. PC users can instantly screen calls through a pop-up window, manage their find me/follow me settings from the Web, and access voicemail messages via a Web interface. "We are very pleased that the versatility and richness of the NMS HearSay platform for messaging and enhanced communications services is being used as the foundation for Bell Canada's newly launched services," said Brian Demers, vice president and general manager, NMS Communications. The integrated solution from uReach and NMS offers carriers the ability to deploy targeted solutions that fit the specific needs of their subscribers.
