Datria Systems Licenses Technology of JustTalk

Datria Systems, a developer of voice-enabled field service applications, has licensed the intellectual and technology assets of JustTalk, a provider of open-standards-based enterprise voice applications.

The move reflects Datria's corporate vision of extending its suite of voice enabled enterprise applications over any standard cellular phone. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With the earlier launch of Datria's VoCarta TeleForms platform, the company is offering a wide range of voice enabled field service and workforce automation applications in the market. By licensing the assets of JustTalk, Datria will expand its line of voice-enabled applications like VoCarta Forms, VoCarta Field, VoCarta Storm, VoCarta Ticket Management, and VoCarta Supervisor, with new voice enabled applications including Time & Expense reporting, Sales Force Automation, Customer Relationship Management and enterprise productivity.

"This arrangement creates a truly unique center of expertise in voice enabled applications software" said James Greenwell, CEO of Datria Systems. "Our goal is to create an enterprise-wide voice portal for employees, giving them a voice interface into all of their enterprise systems. With JustTalk, Datria can offer a wider range of voice applications to both new and existing customers. The result will be a significant advantage to customers through our ability to offer an integrated applications platform and packaged applications for enterprise voice portals. This will be a real boon for customers, whether they plan to provide voice access across the entire enterprise, or if they are simply looking to voice-enable a specific application; Datria's solution will scale with the company regardless of size."

Rather than replace existing CRM, WFA, or SFA applications, Datria uses its VoCarta software platform to create voice interfaces to a company's existing systems and provide voice access to field workers using any standard cellular telephone. For example, a repair technician could access his dispatched tickets, order parts, and close out a service request--all from within the same phone call--using one of Datria's voice applications as the front-end to their existing WFA, CRM and order management systems.

"Datria's commitment to provide a complete suite of enterprise voice enabled applications is unmatched", said Richard Beedon, CEO of JustTalk. "The ability to voice enable virtually any system that an enterprise worker would need is truly unique in this market, I am happy to be a part of the Datria family, and look forward to the company's continued growth. With the licensing of the JustTalk technology, Datria is set to deliver an unprecedented level of voice applications in this rapidly growing market."
