SpeechWorks Provides Support to Microsoft Speech Partner Program Participants
BOSTON, MA - SpeechWorks International Inc. (Nasdaq: SPWX) announced its participation within the Microsoft Speech Partner Program. The program provides new opportunities for Microsoft partners interested in developing, deploying and reselling enterprise-grade speech technology solutions based on the Microsoft Speech Server, which is presently in Beta release. Through the program, SpeechWorks is able to provide Microsoft Speech Partners with enabling speech technologies on the Microsoft Speech Server, as well as enhance its ability to reach the extensive base of corporate Microsoft customers who are unfamiliar with the caller satisfaction and ROI benefits available from high-quality speech solutions.
SpeechWorks and Microsoft are founding members of the SALT (Speech Application Language Tags) Forum and, through a strategic partnership, have been working together to optimize SpeechWorks technologies for the Microsoft Speech Server. SpeechWorks will provide organizations with a suite of speech-enabled solutions including Speechify text-to-speech (TTS) software, OpenSpeech Recognizer(tm) speech recognition software, OpenSpeech DialogModule(tm) software, SALT-based applications, grammars and Professional Services for the Microsoft Speech Server.

SpeechWorks Components for Microsoft Speech Server Partners and Customers Microsoft Speech Partners and enterprise organizations building their own speech-enabled solutions on the Microsoft Speech Server will be able to use of an array of software products and solutions available from SpeechWorks, including: The SpeechWorks OpenSpeech Recognizer (OSR) got Speech Recognition; Speechify TTS software for U.S. English; OpenSpeech DialogModules; Grammars for specific tasks; and Professional Services.
