Voxware and LXE Create Alliance

ATLANTA, GA and PRINCETON, NJ - Voxware Inc. (OTC:VOXW) and LXE Inc. announced that Voxware's VoiceLogistics applications will be available on LXE's handheld wireless computers. "Our customers have an increasingly strong interest in voice technology," said Jim Childress, president and general manager of LXE. "Our commitment to help them improve supply chain performance includes the delivery of new technologies that provide practical business benefits. By teaming with Voxware, we are able to offer them a very competitive solution that adds the dimension of speech recognition to the capabilities they already receive from LXE." VoiceLogistics has been tested in the laboratory on LXE's MX3 and MX6 units, and the solution is demonstrable today. Current plans call for beta testing early in 2004, with general availability upon conclusion of the beta test. "This announcement marks the first time that proven, industrial-strength speech recognition will be available on a standard platform from a major industry player," said Dr. Bathsheba J. Malsheen, CEO of Voxware. "Up until now, the only serious implementations of speech recognition for the warehouse have required proprietary platforms. LXE's commitment to provide a high-quality, rugged, audio-capable device - coupled with Voxware's commitment to port our patented voice recognition engine and VoiceLogistics applications to that device - gives our joint customers a greater degree of flexibility and choice. We are proud to be working with an industry leader like LXE, helping companies optimize the contribution of their warehouse workforce."
