The University of Utah Selects TeleData's T3 Platform for its Voice Messaging Needs

NEW YORK - The University of Utah awarded its "Next Generation Voice" telephony contract to Americom. This multi-year project will upgrade the majority of the University's telecommunications systems.

The University of Utah selected TeleData's T3 Platform as its voice messaging solution to include unified messaging, text-to-speech, voicemail and networking. The T3 Platform will integrate with Sprint's IPX telephone system, resulting in a converged communications system supporting the university's more than 50,000 faculty and staff, situated both on and off campus.

The T3 Platform was chosen as a component of this contract due to its ability to integrate with any pre-existing or new phone system, as well as its ability to scale to support The University of Utah's large user community, including many users such as the University Hospital and its clinics.

The first T3 Platform was installed at the university in November 2004 with plans for the rest of the university's sites to be gradually upgraded to the T3 Platform over the next five years.
