Comverse Establishes Relationship With VoiceObjects
HANNOVER, GERMANY - Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT), and a supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communications services, announced that it has established a relationship with VoiceObjects AG to make VoiceObjects Factory available on the Comverse Media Server. The Comverse Media Server is a modular, standards-based VoiceXML gateway for delivering voice-activated and interactive voice response (IVR) services in wireline and wireless networks. The Media Server integrates technologies that enable network service providers to host a large number of voice applications. VoiceObjects Factory creates a friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface) based service creation environment that contains elements such as online dialog personalization and configuration editors. The combined offering benefits service providers by creating a way to deliver voice applications, including infotainment and voice portal services. The service creation environment enables service providers to reduce development and training resources formerly needed to design and deploy voice-controlled enhanced services and increases the control they have over how, when, and to whom new services are launched. "We are excited to partner with Comverse, a recognized leader in value-added services," said Karl-Heinz Land, CEO of VoiceObjects. "This collaboration provides us with exposure to Comverse's large service provider customer base. Users can benefit from the accelerated pace of voice service deployments by operators around the world." "We're pleased to be able to offer our customers the benefits of the VoiceObjects service creation environment," said Benny Einhorn, Chief Marketing Officer of Comverse. "Operators realize the value of an intuitive voice interface in enhancing the user experience and increasing per user revenues. We believe our key relationship with VoiceObjects enables service providers to build and rapidly deploy a rich portfolio of revenue-generating voice services with minimal operational expenses. VoiceXML is one of the empowering technologies employed in our flagship InSight environment for next-generation services."
