ntl Telewest Selects Convergys Billing and Customer Care Solution

CINCINNATI & LONDON — ntl Telewest signed a licensing agreement for Convergys Corporation's (NYSE:CVG) ICOMS customer care and billing solution. ntl Telewest is a UK's cable operator and a provider of broadband, digital television, telephony, content, and communications services to homes, businesses, and public sector organizations.

ntl (NASDAQ:NTLI) will replace four architecturally and technologically different legacy billing systems with Convergys' ICOMS solution that includes Network Inventory Management capabilities. Once implemented in 2007, ICOMS will be the single billing and customer care infrastructure supporting over five million video, telephony, and broadband customers resulting from the recent ntl and Telewest merger. Telewest has been using Convergys' ICOMS solution since 1996.

Convergys' Professional Services team will perform business analysis, software design and development, implementation, migration, and testing.

ICOMS can be integrated with Infinys to further expand the capabilities of cable broadband operators to include wireless and content settlement services.
