Aculab's Prosody X PCIe Card Enters General Availability

MILTON KEYNES, UK - Aculab's Prosody X PCIe, a VoIP media processing platform with PCI Express bus compatibility, is now available for shipment. Following the product announcement in late 2006, Aculab has begun fulfilling advanced orders for customers.

Prosody X PCIe is a continuation of the Prosody X product line, extending it into the SME level VoIP market segment. The product provides connectivity, media processing, and call control feature sets for both VoIP and PSTN environments including: SIP; H.323; secure RTP; DTMF handling; T.30 and T.38 fax; a wide range of TDM protocols and approvals; a full set of voice codecs; and many other features. The product supports up to 300 voice channels, with optional 1, 2 or 4 E1/T1 trunks.

Prosody X PCIe is available in eight variants, allowing a selection of fit for purpose combinations of media processing DSPs and TDM trunks for every particular application.
