SimulScribe Adds Skype to List of Carriers for Voicemail-to-Text Service

NEW YORK - SimulScribe, a U.S. provider of voicemail-to-text services, made its voicemail transcription service available to Skype users through its Web site. The company's service uses proprietary voice recognition algorithms to transcribe voicemail to text, which is then delivered via email and SMS text messages in near real time. SimulScribe's patent-pending technology, which was originally developed by the company in 2003, integrates with wireless, wire-line, and Voice over IP providers. Skype users, who deal with the annoyances of missed calls and voicemail fees, can take full advantage of SimulScribe's voicemail-to-text service.
