VoiceXML Forum Launches the VoiceXML Solutions Directory

SAN FRANCISCO — At SpeechTEK West, the VoiceXML Forum, a global industry organization chartered to promote and to accelerate the adoption of VoiceXML-based applications, announced the availability of the VoiceXML Solutions Directory, a comprehensive directory of VoiceXML products and services.  The VoiceXML Solutions Directory helps companies interested in deploying VoiceXML-based business solutions to find the products and services they need quickly and efficiently.  The VoiceXML Solutions Directory is sponsored by the VoiceXML Forum and is now available at www.vxmldirectory.com

"The VoiceXML Solutions Directory is poised to become the industry's most comprehensive directory of VoiceXML-based products and services," said Mark Randolph, newly elected chairman of the VoiceXML Forum.  "Every vendor working with VoiceXML should ensure that its products and services are listed in the directory."

The VoiceXML Solutions Directory currently includes more than 160 products and services offered by the VoiceXML Forum's member companies.  Product categories include VoiceXML platforms, application development tools and pre-built dialog modules, and applications.  Service categories include VUI design and development, systems integration and solution deployment, and hosted services and solutions.  Additional categories may be added to the VoiceXML Solutions Directory based on market demand.

New Platforms Certified

The Forum also announced that VoiceXML platform implementations from Microsoft and SandCherry were recently certified through the Forum's Platform Certification Program.  Microsoft Speech Server 2007 and SandCherry Voice Platform have been certified as compliant with the latest release of VoiceXML 2.0.  Microsoft and SandCherry join Aspect, Avaya, Envox Worldwide, Genesys, Holly Connects, Intervoice, Loquendo, Nortel, Nuance, Vail Systems, Vocalocity, Voxeo, Voxpilot and West Corporation as vendors of certified platforms.  To date, 21 platforms have been certified.  CT Labs, an independent testing laboratory working on behalf of the Forum, conducts the testing.
