Cistera Introduces New Version of the Cistera Application Platform

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Cistera Networks, a provider of Enterprise Application Platforms and Engines for IP Communications, released version 1.7 of the Cistera Application Platform which enables organizations to experience interoperability with broadcast announcements and recording of conversations across devices -- IP phones, analog phones, overhead paging systems, two-way radios, mobile phones and PCs -- with admin control directly from the IP phone screen. This version of the Cistera Application Platform offers enhanced access and authentication management as well as a bolstered logging mechanism. With Version 1.7, Cistera has implemented automated CTI provisioning -- enhancing interoperability with Call Control platforms such as Cisco Call Manager. Cepstral's Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine has also been integrated with Cistera's platform. All of the Application Engines for version 1.7 have been enhanced. The highlights include the addition of pre-provisioning and more configurable call tagging, expanded media management including support for Ogg Vorbis, reporting, archiving and retrieval capabilities. Also included in this version is enhanced desktop monitoring and full screen-capture for CallCenterRecord Enhanced. The Cistera ConvergenceServer (CCS) adds competency and features such as text and audio broadcasting, messaging, recording, and content streaming within a Cisco Communications environment. Cistera has platforms that support 100 to 100,000 users.
