SVOX Releases New Russian Voice

SVOX has released a new Russian voice across the range of its SVOX Automotive and SVOX Mobile speech output solutions. The addition of this male voice brings the total number of voices in the SVOX TTS portfolio to 37, with availability for all major platforms and various footprints.

The modular architecture of SVOX speech output solutions means that the new voice is now available across the whole range of TTS solutions based on unit selection technology, namely SVOX Automotive TTS (Standard, Pro, and Plus configurations) and SVOX Mobile TTS (Standard, Pro, and Plus configurations).

“Russian and CIS markets are some of the most important in Europe, and we have set ourselves a goal to offer our customers a choice of different voices," said Martin Reber, SVOX's CEO. "Now that we offer both male and female Russian voices, our mobile and automotive customers have more opportunities for differentiation, and even more consumers in the region will be able to communicate with their devices naturally, using their native language.”

SVOX is constantly working to extend and update its portfolio of TTS languages and voices, with more languages, including Hungarian, under development. The 26 languages available now are Arabic, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, U.S. and U.K. English, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Brazilian and European Portuguese, Russian, European and North American Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.
