Nuance Dragon Apps Now Available in the Czech Republic and Romania
Nuance Communications today announced that its Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search applications for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad are available for free in the Czech Republic and Romania App Stores. Supporting the Czech and Romanian languages as part of their Eastern European expansion, Dragon Search and Dragon Dictation allow iOS consumers to dictate SMS text messages, email, social media updates, mobile Web searches and more, up to five times faster than typing.
"Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search have already demonstrated success across Eastern Europe, attributable to the intense global demand for voice-enabled mobile platforms," said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager of Nuance Mobile, in a statement. "Thirty-three countries later, the momentum behind the Dragon Apps hasn't stopped, and consumers worldwide can be sure we'll continue to roll out the apps in even more countries this year."
Dragon Dictation is iOS-5 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons that enable users to access email, SMS, Facebook or Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Dragon Dictation also includes an Auto Save function that retains dictated text when the user is interrupted by an incoming phone call.
Dragon Search allows users to speak any search query to quickly and find information and knowledge on the mobile Web. Dragon Search features Nuance's Dragon Search Carousel, which delivers faster, smarter search results within seconds across multiple channels, including Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, iTunes, Wikipedia, and YouTube, all at once.
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are now available for free from the Apple App Store in the Czech Republic and Romania.
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are also available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Brazil, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland App Stores. In addition to Czech and Romanian, the Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search support U.S., U.K. and Australian English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwan Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, Hungarian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, European and Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, European and Americas Spanish, Swedish, and Standard Arabic. And with multilingual capabilities, all Dragon app users can switch between supported languages as they come available.
