Dolbey and Alpha Systems Team Up

Dolbey, a provider of dictation, transcription, speech recognition and coding solutions for healthcare, and Alpha Systems, a provider of electronic patient chart management solutions, announced a strategic partnership to integrate Alpha System's data and document services and Dolbey's Fusion Suite.

Patient charts are widely unstructured documents that require manual processes that make up the present coding and billing practices in healthcare. These processes are often paper-intensive, subject to error, time-consuming, and costly. As the burden of coding increases through patient volumes and regulatory impacts, the declining availability of trained coding specialists will continue to present even greater challenges in maintaining a healthy revenue cycle.

Fusion CAC is a Computer-Assisted Coding (CAC) solution that increases productivity and automation. The solution uses natural language processing in combination with proprietary and patent pending algorithmic data abstraction for both inpatient and departmental settings.

Alpha Systems delivers healthcare data and document management solutions, including data conversion, document scanning, indexing, and flexible methods of information retrieval, that improve financial outcomes by bringing an end to information bottlenecks.
