nVoq Releases SayIt 8.2 Speech-Enabled EMR

nVoq, a provider of cloud-based speech recognition solutions for the healthcare industry, today released SayIt 8.2, which includes new features designed to optimize electronic medical record workflows.

Other new features in SayIt 8.2 include expanded support for organization of workflow shortcuts, creation of personalized subject vocabularies, voice-enabled editing, and much more. SayIt 8.2 also supports Apple's OS X platform for healthcare providers looking to add voice to their EMR on the Mac.

SayIt has been exclusively endorsed by the American Hospital Association for speech recognition.

"With SayIt 8.2, we aim to set the bar high for ease of use," said Charles Corfield, CEO of nVoq, in a statement. "First, we've heard loud and clear the frustration experienced with typical EMR interfaces. Providers hate having to spend so much time and effort navigating screen after screen. With SayIt's Automate It capability, they can use quick voice commands, which get you to the right place fast and help you enter repetitive information in a snap. The impact of Automate It goes well beyond traditional dictation. It's a way for providers to reclaim time in their day that can be better spent with patients."

"With SayIt's true cloud-based architecture, IT leaders can avoid unnecessary expense and deployment complexity," said Debbi Gillotti, vice president of healthcare at nVoq, in the statement. "SayIt 8.2 is a welcome alternative for organizations who've embraced cloud-based EMRs or virtualized desktops only to be disappointed by performance issues or overhead requirements of other speech recognition solutions. SayIt combines ease of use with ease of administration."
