Acapela Adds 10 New TTS Voices

Acapela Group has released 10 new brand voices for its text-to-speech technologies: Zoe, Daan, Jasmijn, Andreas, Fabiana, Sakura, Bente, Ines, Emil and Lulu.

Acapela's new voices enrich the vocal expert offer and add new voice characters and gender choice.

New members include Sakura, the brand new Japanese voice and Lulu, the brand new Chinese one, both of which dramatically widen Acapela's linguistic coverage to Asia to reach new markets and offer enriched portfolio to its customers and partners.

"The way we—all of us—judge and select a voice is a highly individual mix. Besides naturalness and intelligibility, voice synthesis has to convey multiple information through different layers, such as accent, intonation, prosody," said Lars-Erik Larsson, CEO of Acapela Group.
