Intervoice Enhances Capabilities of Speech-Enabled Retirement Services Application for Diversified Investment Advisors

DALLAS - Intervoice Inc. (Nasdaq: INTV) announced that Diversified Investment Advisors, a national investment advisory firm specializing in retirement plans, is now offering an enhanced speech-enabled application powered by the Omvia platform to further provide assistance to callers when managing investments.

Diversified recently collaborated with long-time partner and 20-year voice industry pioneer, Intervoice, on intensive testing and tuning of an existing speech-enabled retirement savings plan application by applying voice user interface design principles and leveraging the company's linguistics expertise. Intervoice has acquired extensive application design experience in the past several years, making good speech applications even better, improving automation success rates and facilitating caller usage. These assessment services are part of Intervoice's most recently announced Professional Services Agility Suite of products.

With the recent enhancements made to the application, program participants are now better equipped to successfully complete transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system allows individuals to check account balances, review investment performance, update their investment strategy for existing assets or new contributions, change personal account information and initiate selected transactions. As retirement planning is very complex, Diversified currently receives more than 1,000,000 calls per year. The recent application redesign has resulted in significant cost savings and efficiencies for the firm. More than 96 percent of callers are successfully completing transactions or meeting their intended goals of the call. Additionally, the speech application has a 10 percent improvement rate over the existing touchtone application whereby fewer callers request or ultimately transfer to a live agent as previously done with the touchtone application.
