Verscom Deploys Cantata's IMG 1010 VoIP Media Gateway

NEEDHAM, Mass. - Verscom, a major public network developer and integrator, has deployed Cantata Technology's IMG 1010 Integrated Media and Signaling VoIP Gateway in its global network.

Verscom selected the IMG 1010 due to its PSTN support (PRI, CAS, and SS7), IP transcoding, and any-to-any signaling features, which will enable it to offer deployment of VoIP services and applications to customers. Verscom customers leveraging the power of the IMG 1010 include international VoIP carriers such as Xplorium and Rawabi Telecom & Software.

Cantata recently introduced an enhanced version of the IMG 1010 with support for ENUM and load balancing. In total, the new release includes more than 20 additional features.
