VoiceMatch Joins RAINS Homeland Security Coalition

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - VoiceMatch announced that it has joined RAINS (Regional Alliances for Infrastructure and Network Security), a private/public partnership focused on promoting the development and use of technology for homeland security and public safety. VoiceMatch, a San Francisco-based voice biometric security company, utilizes technology originally developed at M.I.T. to offer customers a biometric method for identifying users through a voice tract.

"We are pleased to add VoiceMatch to our growing list of member companies committed to accelerating the deployment and development of innovative technology for homeland security," said RAINS executive director, Fred Granum.  "VoiceMatch's commitment to security and strong ties to MIT is a good fit for RAINS' national coalition of leading technology companies, non-government organizations and local, state and federal government entities."

"The speaker recognition technology developed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and deployed by VoiceMatch is a critical component for business and government security applications, such as securing access to personal information in a convenient and efficient manner," said Doug Reynolds, senior member of technical staff, MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
