(Nasdaq: GEMS), a provider of next- generation communication solutions, sold its 1500th MVP(R) (Modular Voice Processor) messaging platform to U.S. Cellular (Amex: USM), the nation's eighth largest wireless service provider. Glenayre's MVP has evolved as the foundation for Glenayre's Versera(TM) Messaging Solutions Portfolio, which offers service providers the support to deploy a variety of enhanced voice and data services.
