VoltDelta Supplies Integrated Advertising Platform for AT&T 1-800-YellowPages Service

NEW YORK - AT&T selected VoltDelta to supply the integrated platform for a new advertiser supported US nationwide Directory Assistance (DA) offering. AT&T began a controlled trial of this new DA service in Bakersfield, Calif.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Columbus, Ohio.

VoltDelta's integrated advertising platform consists of several key components:

  • The advertisement platform component supports numerous types of audio and text advertisements with placement criteria. VoltDelta is leveraging their existing relationship with Apptera to integrate the Apptera MobileAd Technology with VoltDelta's DirectoryExpress national DA and iExpress Business Category Search services.
  • VoltDelta's SpeechExpress Directory Assistance Automation uses speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies supplied by Nuance Communications.
  • VoltDelta's Voice Feature Node 3 (VFN3) IVR component is used to play all automated announcements, including the new audio ads, throughout the call flows. Existing VoltDelta partner Envox Worldwide powers the VFN3 component with their Envox 6 Communications Development Platform.
  • For calls that cannot be fully automated, VoltDelta supplies the workstation software used by AT&T's operators to search for listings, either in a traditional white pages search where the caller is requesting a specific listing, or in a yellow pages or "category" search, where the caller knows the type of listing (e.g., plumber. taxi, or locksmith), but does not have a specific business name in mind.
