Datalogic Launches Voice-Picking Solutions for Mobile Computers

Datalogic today released several voice-picking applications for its line of mobile computers.

The Lynx PDA, Elf PDA, Memor pocket mobile computer, and Skorpio X3 mobile computer have received certification for the Wavelink Speakeasy voice-picking application, and can now be complemented by industrial-grade headsets to achieve higher efficiency in warehouse environments.

The Datalogic headset is specifically designed for voice-picking and speech recognition applications in distribution centers and other high-noise industrial settings. The Wavelink Speakeasy system does not require additional enterprise hardware or server installation. The Datalogic picking solution implementing the Wavelink Speakeasy system does not call for specific unit voice training. Instead it allows for the recognition of various voices, accents, and dialects.
