Pronexus Introduces CT Advance

OTTAWA, Canada - Pronexus Inc. announced an upgrade program for users of CT ADE, the Intel® NetMerge™ Computer Telephony Application Development Environment. CT Advance entitles current CT ADE customers to a free upgrade of a development seat to the most recent version of Pronexus VBVoice. Furthermore, Pronexus provides porting assistance and license discounts for existing CT ADE applications.

CT ADE is based on VOS, a proprietary scripting language that requires detailed understanding of Dialogic libraries and drivers, and understanding of programming at the operating system level, while VBVoice leverages the power of Visual Studio .NET.  This allows developers to use existing programming skills such as VB .NET for the creation of telephony and speech applications. What is more, they benefit from the debugging environment and application extensibility with .NET concepts.

"As a user of CT ADE, our productivity was consistently being hampered by the tool's limited extensibility and overall usability shortcomings, coupled with a lack of developer support," commented Mike Smartt, president of ConceptCalls.com, a US-based provider of automated calling services. "We upgraded to VBVoice due to its integration into the .NET platform, the competitive licensing structure and the tool's intuitive interface, which sped up our development effort significantly. What's more, the Pronexus technical support team is one of the best we've worked with. They were not only extremely knowledgeable, but they were always available and further accelerated our development process."

The CT Advance IVR Upgrade consists of:

  • VBVoice 5.2 - 1 developer seat
  • 2 Runtime licenses
  • CT ADE migration document - guides developers through the IVR upgrade process and facilitates the migration path from CT ADE to VBVoice
