Vodafone Malta Launches Next-Generation Communications Services

ATLANTA, GA - Glenayre Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: GEMS) announced that Vodafone Malta has deployed its first next-generation messaging solution based on Glenayre's Versera Messaging platform, Versera Unified Communications and Versera Voice Services suites. The service, branded Vodafone Mail, is a unified communications solution to be deployed in Malta, and a publicly deployed Intel and Linux-based Versera Solution portfolio. The Glenayre Versera Solutions supporting Vodafone Mail are designed to leverage Intel's communications technology and Linux's open- source code, offering Vodafone Malta an open, standards-based solutions. In turn, Vodafone Malta provides its customers with a unified communications solution -- Vodafone Mail -- which simplifies the way users communicate.
