Atheer to Add Voice and Gesture Controls to Vuzix Smart Glasses

Atheer, provider of the AiR (Augmented interactive Reality) computing platform, has expanded an existing partnership with Vuzix, a supplier of video eyewear and smart glasses. Vuzix will certify Atheer's AiR Suite for Enterprise, including the platform's advanced gesture and voice detection capabilities, on M100 and M300 Smart Glasses.

Both the Vuzix M100 and soon to be released M300 Smart Glasses with Atheer AiR Suite will enable wearers to interact with workflows, checklists, video calls, and more by simply waving a hand, using a gesture, or speaking a command. The Vuzix M300 is scheduled to launch in the summer.

"The M100 is already one of the most cutting-edge computer eyewear devices on the market, allowing users to interact hands-free with a wide variety of enterprise applications, but with our new partnership, M100 and M300 Smart Glasses will now also offer gesture and voice controls," said Alberto Torres, CEO of Atheer, in a statement.

"Our goal is to keep Vuzix wearable devices at the forefront of technological applications and advances. Through partnerships with leading players like Atheer, we make a broad variety of apps available on our products," said Paul Travers, president and CEO of Vuzix, in a statement.

To get started creating custom workflows, video calls, and remote collaboration, AiR Suite for Enterprise is available for download on the Vuzix App Store, with the first 30 days free and the full subscription license priced at $49 per user per month.
