Dolbey Introduces VoiceBox

Dolbey has launched VoiceBox, a new solution designed to assist physicians in using electronic medical records (EMRs).

VoiceBox is a nonintrusive recording application that offers physicians the ability to simply speak the description of the patient event. VoiceBox automatically bookmarks the field in the EMR with a unique VoiceBox ID. Subsequently, a typist pairs the recording and subsequent transcription into the EMR box. This solution keeps the patient story accurate without physicians having to keyboard or face the challenges of speech recognition.

"We have been involved with healthcare dictation since our beginning in 1914," said Chris Casto, vice president of Dolbey Systems, in a statement. "Now, with VoiceBox, our customers can meet their EMR requirements while enjoying the accuracy and simplicity of dictation."
