Glenayre Versera Solutions to be Integrated with Voice Portal Framework
ATLANTA, GA -- Glenayre Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: GEMS), a global provider of advanced and next-generation communications solutions, announced plans to work with Oracle Corporation, a global enterprise software company, to integrate Glenayre's Versera solution portfolio with Oracle's voice portal capabilities. Together, the companies can increase subscriber control over communications activities through solutions that combine messaging and information services in a single location. According to the Radicati Report, speech-based technologies are expected to generate as much as $5.5 billion in revenue for service providers by the end of 2004, and information services are expected to deliver consistent, incremental monthly revenue from subscribers. Since subscribers can personalize their accounts, voice portals offer just one more motivator for subscribers to remain with their current service provider.
