Voxware's VoiceLogistics to Improve Efficiency for 7-Eleven

PRINCETON, NJ - Voxware Inc. (NASDAQ OTC: VOXW)a speech recognition company providing natural language-based solutions for industrial applications, announced that 7-Eleven Inc. (NYSE: SE), through its third party logistics provider, Cardinal Logistics Management Inc., has selected Voxware's VoiceLogistics system for installation in its Fullerton, California facility. As part of the contract between Voxware and Cardinal, Voxware will deliver system and application software, hardware, RF infrastructure, professional services and ongoing maintenance for 60 VoiceLogistics users at 7-Eleven's new 100,000 square foot operation in California, operated by Cardinal. The system will support a multi-lingual work force. "We have a unique operation from which we will receive, sort by store, and distribute a variety of Fresh products every day of the year. Our So. California Combined Distribution Center (CDC) will service approximately 700 locations in the Greater Los Angeles and San Diego markets," said Dave Michalski, National Director of Logistics/Distribution for 7-Eleven. "We have seen the potential of a speech-based system, and believe Voxware can deliver the right combination of technology and techniques to dramatically improve the efficiency of our Demand Chain logistics operations," added Michalski. This project will initially provide VoiceLogistics applications in both dry and chilled environments, to effectively sort and distribute products to 7-Eleven stores. In addition, 7-Eleven will be using Voxware's VoxView web-based reporting utility. VoxView will provide both 7-Eleven and Cardinal Dedicated Logistics with comprehensive reports and on-line displays of key performance metrics related to this facility's operations. It will also allow real-time visibility and management control of operations from both the Fullerton, CA facility and from 7-Eleven's corporate offices. It is anticipated that additional applications, including inventory management and transfer, will be added within the next 6-9 months. "Over the past few months, we have worked closely with 7-Eleven and Cardinal to define a speech-based solution for their store distribution operations that provides increased speed, accuracy and flexibility," said Ken Finkel, Voxware's VP of Sales and Business Development. "Another important benefit to 7-Eleven resulting from this installation will be a standardized speech-based implementation that may be used in their other facilities. With our web-based VoxView product, they will now have a way to review key metrics on a facility or enterprise-wide basis. This is critical to a company like 7-Eleven which needs to analyze performance over their entire Demand Chain network. They have been great to work with, and we look forward to our continued relationship with 7-Eleven," concluded Finkel. Based on the successful implementation of VoiceLogistics at the Fullerton facility and further review by 7-Eleven, Voxware and 7-Eleven anticipate the possible development of plans for further deployment of the VoiceLogistics solution at other sites.
