WebDialogs Releases New Version Conferencing Solution

WebDialogs yesterday announced its enhanced version 8.0 of Unyte Meeting, an online conferencing service, is now available.

Following a successful beta test-run, the latest version provides an enhanced interactive user interface with a new look, videocasting capabilities for conferencing hosts and presenters, an upgraded audiocasting function, and an expanded presentation-recording capability.

The upgraded and redesigned user interface has a fresh new look, enhanced icons and an expanded roster that now provides more detail about each conferee’s connection to the meeting, such as Web-only, Web and PSTN, PSTN-only or some other connection.

Unyte Meeting’s videocasting function gives hosts and presenters the ability to broadcast live images of themselves to participants. All that’s needed is a Webcam to enable participants to see the speaker in a small corner of the screen while still viewing the meeting materials. Or, a sign-language interpreter could be on camera interpreting the speakers’ remarks to enable people who prefer sign language to participate in the call.

With the upgrade, Unyte Meeting’s audiocasting capability now has a higher compression rate to provide better quality audio sessions for the user, while at the same time decreasing the demand for bandwidth.

Unyte Meeting also has a recording function that enables an entire presentation to be recorded and stored as a downloadable archive that can be e-mailed or placed in a Web page.

Infinite Conferencing, a provider of solutions for virtual meetings and events, offers a private-label version of Unyte Meeting to its customers for Web meetings and Webinars. "We’ve been working with the new version of Unyte Meeting during its beta-testing period," said David Kott, president of Infinite Conferencing, "and we’re very satisfied with the changes WebDialogs has implemented. In particular, the new videoconferencing capability is fantastic. It adds a whole new dimension to Web meetings by enabling participants to hear and see the presenter."

Users can select from Unyte Meeting or Unyte Meeting Pro plans on a per-usage metered basis whenever they have a need for the service. Or they can sign up for fixed-fee plans, such as the Named Seats package, which starts at $38 per month and includes free toll-based audio conferencing. New users can test drive Unyte Meeting Pro with a free 14-day trial by signing up at www.webdialogs.com/products/trial_enterprise.asp.
