Pocketbook Adds ReadSpeaker TTS

PocketBook, a manufacturer of e-readers, added ReadSpeaker's text-to-speech functionality in its 6.4 software update release. With this update, users can listen to books read aloud by 94 voices, in more than 30 languages.

The first models to offer the new voices are PocketBook InkPad 3 Pro and PocketBook Touch HD 3. However, the update will soon be available on all other devices with audio support, including PocketBook InkPad 3, PocketBook InkPad X, PocketBook Color, and PocketBook InkPad Color. And from now on, all new PocketBook devices will automatically receive the new voices.

Once they download the update, users simply select the voice option in their e-books' TTS menu to have written content read out loud to them.
